one very eventful weekend.

Well...I'll start with Friday! Once classes were over I had a couple hours to kill so instead of being productive I watched the last episode of The Office with Kayla! I was working on my first scarf of the season during the show, so I guess technically that WAS being productive...sweet! I really need to keep working on that silly scarf...at the rate i'm going it won't be done until next summer...and that's kinda pointless. anyways...so Friday evening was insane. The first basketball games of the season were going on. I do LOVE basketball season.

During the girls game I helped out with the "Play for Free" fundraiser which was organized to try and raise money for the building of a school in Uganda for former child soldiers and child sex slaves. I just recently became involved in the Freedom Hope organization here at school that put on the fundraiser. It is really awesome, and I'm excited to get more involved and see what's on the agenda next!
I was able to watch the whole guys basketball game, which was extremely exciting and ended in a WIN for our boys! hooray!
After the games I went over to hang out with Lisa and Kayla and do the whole girls night thing...painting nails, great movie (Stomp the Yard), and relaxing before heading back to my room and hitting the sack. Man, was I pooped.

So, that was Friday. A good day :)

Saturday.
Well, it started with me having to get up early to clean my room of all things due to open dorms at 1:30-3. REDICULOUS! It wasn't too bad after my morning mug of yummy starbucks coffee. It was great relaxing and being lazy. I started getting around at about 3ish and from then on it was hair, make-up, and music. By 6:15 I was good to go...4 inch heals and all!
Ryan came and picked us girls up and it was to the OCC we went. First was finding our table, then after a while came the first course..salad..mm. Then followed the buffet of delicious almond chicken, veggies and whipped potatoes...all very good by the way. Then my favorite...dessert...which consisted of two chocolate fountains with a variety of dipping items. Lets just say, I forgot just how delicious strawberries and chocolate are together....AMAZING!
By this time I'm stuffed, with nothin more but the variety show to enjoy watching.
Homecoming ended about 10:30ish, but the night was still young! After changing into more comfortable clothes Kayla, Jeremy, Lisa, Caleb and me went to Warsaw Bowl to show off our wicked-awesome bowling skill....or lack there of in my case. I was reminded just how awful i was at the sport, but it was so much fun nonetheless :)
We left there at 12 and of course didn't want to go back to campus, so after brainstorming where in the world we could go at midnight in Warsaw, Indiana the consensus was good ol' Steak 'n' Shake. It was a pleasant surprise after getting there to see there list of dinners for under 4 dollars! of course, we all took advantage of that. My chicken strips and fries, along with a classic vanilla shake sure hit the spot.
So, finally, about 1:30 a.m. we felt it was time to head back and part ways for the night. I don't think my bed has ever felt so nice.
Good times.

It was nice not having to think about anything for a day.
Sometimes I wish that could be the case everyday.
